About the Artist
I’m Meg (she/they), an illustrator and independent artist based in Portland, Oregon. I earned a BFA in Animation from Laguna College of Art & Design in 2017. My graphic novel “Squashed” earned an “Outstanding Work of Children’s Literature” award in 2023. Aside from being an artist I’m also a hiker, knitter, gardener, coffee enthusiast, and cat parent.
I’ve illustrated multiple middle grade books, graphic novels, and comics. Most of my work revolves around sequential art, illustration, and storytelling. I also run an online shop, patreon page, and occasionally table at events.
A little list of subject matter that I’m passionate about: plants, homesteading, cute animals, ugly animals, cats, bees, cryptids, spooky stories, folklore, analog music, camping and hiking, Japanese aesthetic, good design, print and printmaking, earth tones, knitting, quilts, really good coffee, and wacky indie art.
